How to open the console page of TP-link Router
You will find 5 Ethernet ports(4 Blue and 1 Yellow) behind the TP-link Router. Your laptop/PC should be connected in any of the Blue port through Ethernet cable. Your system will automatically get the IP Address as DHCP it enabled in the TP-Link router by default.
Open a new page of internet Explorer in order to access routers web console page. By default the IP address is "192.168.1.1" and Username and Password is "admin".
Further, you can also see the login credentials behind TP-link Router.
Configuration Procedure
now you will see the all four options as mentioned in below snapshot.
Select 3G Preffered: if you want to use your 3G connection as a primary internet source and WAN/DSL as a Secondary.
Select 3G only: if you want to use only 3G service OR you dont have any other connection(DSL/WAN).
Select WAN Prefered: if you want to use your WAN/DSL as a primary internet connection and 3G as a secondary.
Select WAN only: If you want to use only WAN/DSL connection and you dont have 3G services.
I will consider 3G prefered and then click on "Next"
Option "Set the dial number and APN manually" should be checked and Set "Authentication type" as "Auto". Enter dial number "#777". Leave the APN field blank.
Enter Username: vwireless@ptcl.com
Password: ptcl (lower case) and click "Next" for the next step.
Now turn to set your wireless settings.
Set your wireless radio button to "Enable"
Enter your wireless TP-Link Name (SSID OR Wireless Network Name).
Region: Pakistan.
Channel: Auto OR which is not used by the other device in the range .
Mode: 11bgn Mixed.
Channel Width: Auto.
Max Rx Rate: 300 Mbps.
Click on "WPA-PSK" and enter security code in "PSK OR Pre-shared Key" column.
Click on "Save" OR "Next and Reboot"
NOTE: ("X" can be replaced by numeric digit but not the same as your DSL's modem IP eg: 192.168.0.1)
Now click on "Save" and it will reboot the router OR it will prompt you for confirmation.
Remember: Next time you will access the router by the new changed IP address eg: 192.168.0.1.
Finally, you can plug-in your 3G EVO/Wingle in the USB port and DSL line in the Internet/WAN Port.
You have completed the TP-link router settings with failover(3G EVO/Wingle/Nitro + DSL)
