PPPoE/AUTO MODE CONFIGURATION

STEP 1:
Your modem should be connected with the computer/Laptop through LAN/Ethernet cable. One side should be inserted in LAN card and other end in one of the Yellow port.
 Open a new page of internet Explorer in order to access modem web console page. By default the IP address is "192.168.1.1". Enter Username and Password which is "admin" (Lower case).

Further, you can also see the login credentials and default IP behind modem.

 

STEP 2:
After opening a web console page click on "ADVANCE SETUP" from the left menu select "WANand delete all the entries showing in the center of your screen by simply check mark in "REMOVE" column and click on "REMOVE" button.
To continue settings click on "ADD" button.




STEP 3:
Enter "VPI" "VCI" (eg: PTCL copper users use "VPI=0" and "VCI=103" and PTCL fiber optic user use "VPI=8" and "VCI=81" and click "NEXT" for next step.
 



STEP 4:
Select second option (PPP over Ethernet-PPPoE), don't change encapsulation mode and click "NEXT".



STEP 5:
Enter your username and password provided by PTCL. PPPoE service name "DSL" and click "NEXT".
 


STEP 6:
In next window it will ask about service name that is "PPPoE" and click "NEXT", In the next page click on "SAVE" button and then "SAVE/REBOOT".


 

HOW TO CHANGE LAN IP ADDRESS

Click "ADVANCE SETUP" from left pane and select "LAN"  to change the LAN IP Address of you choice (eg: 10.10.10.1).


MODULATION SETTINGS 
 
To change the modulation settings click on "ADVANCE SETUP" from left pane and select "DSL". In "Select the modulation below" option only "G.Dmt Enable" and "ADSL 2+ Enable should be checked and others options remains the same as shown below snapshot.
